Shunyata

“Since I was a little, dreamy-eyed girl, dance has always resonated as the most simple, creative and joyful means of expression. Later, I trained with renowned masters, dancers and choreographers, with whom I felt deep admiration and respect…my youth, spent mostly in Milan, London and Tolose, anxiously participating in auditions, made me realize a deep desire to search for a more natural dance expression, unconfined from the strict rules of ballet, modern dance or choreography…my instinct to dance had qualities that I couldn’t express into a code: the freedom of movement, expression of my unique feelings, the vital pulsation…just a dancing energy, with no name or language…a dance without shape…an unknown dance. I began to explore my inner self, seeking an expression that was in tune with the natural rhythms of the body, the healing flow of the heart and dream/ vision of my spirit. I began to incorporate studies and teachings that could open, stretch and challenge my mind; following anthropologic research and experience, which opened me to new shapes of movement, sound, and rhythm, especially the spiritual practices of native traditions, and the healing of ancient trails. The spiritual depth of India and the meeting with the Master Osho, illuminated dance as a joyous and celebrative form of meditation…the dancing body could then become my religion, my medicine, my song, my poetry and my dream…”  in deep gratitude, Shunyata
